Community rules

Chatile is a cozy, kind place, like a cabin where everyone is welcome. These rules apply to everything you share: Feed posts and photos, comments, lives and live chat, the member lounge, profiles, pet names, contest entries, shop listings and messages people report to us.

Be kind

• Treat people the way you'd like to be treated. Disagree gently, never cruelly.
• Respect people's choices: if someone blocks you or doesn't reply, let it be.
• Celebrate each other. Lift people up, don't tear them down.

Never allowed

• Anything that harms children. No sexual content involving minors, no grooming, no asking minors for photos or to meet. We remove it immediately, close the account and report it to the authorities.
• Nudity and sexual content, including sexual messages to people who didn't ask for them.
• Harassment and bullying: insults, threats, piling on, mocking someone's looks, or sharing someone's private messages to embarrass them.
• Hate: attacking people for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or where they come from.
• Violence and danger: threats, promoting violence, dangerous challenges, or encouraging self-harm or eating disorders.
• Scams and spam: fake giveaways, phishing, pyramid schemes, asking for money or passwords, or posting the same thing over and over.
• Illegal activity: selling or promoting illegal drugs, weapons, stolen goods or fake products.
• Private information: sharing someone's address, phone number, documents or photos without their permission.
• Pretending to be another person, a brand or the Chatile team.
• Misinformation that can cause harm, like fake medical cures or false emergency claims.

Lives and live chat

• Lives follow all of these rules. Hosts must be 18 or older.
• No recording or sharing someone else's live without their permission.
• Hosts can remove people from their chat. Chatile can end any live that breaks the rules.

Selling on Chatile

• Members sell physical items only (things that ship). Digital products, like e-books, downloads and printables, are sold only by Chatile.
• Sellers ship their own orders. Each seller packs, pays for and sends every order and shares tracking. Chatile doesn't store or ship member products.
• Sellers handle their own returns and refunds, and must say their return policy before you buy. Contact the seller using the email on the listing.
• Only adults (18+) can sell. No fake countdowns, fake "only a few left", fake reviews or misleading prices.
• Sponsored posts and paid partnerships must be labeled. Chatile labels them for you.

Words we filter

Chatile filters some words and phrases that are almost always used to hurt people. If your post or comment can't be sent, please change your wording.

What happens if rules are broken

• Anyone can report a post, comment, live, shop item or person, and block anyone. Reports are private: the person won't know who reported them.
• The Chatile team reviews reports, usually within 24 hours.
• Depending on what happened, we may: remove the content; give a warning; pause the account from posting, commenting and going live for 1, 7 or 30 days, or until we lift it; end a live; remove a shop; or close the account. Serious harm, especially to children, means the account is closed right away.
• If you think we made a mistake, write to hello@chatile.app and we'll take another look.
